#TrailConference

The 4th annual US Trail Running Conference takes place in Estes Park, Colorado, USA. Estes Park has been a mecca for trail runners for decades. The town is close to the entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park, and the more than 130 trails and paths, from 7,522 feet to 14,255 feet, totaling more than 355 miles of pristine terrain that the park provides. Journalist, and trail runner, Jayme Moye, compared Estes Park to Chamonix in France, the de-facto trail running capital of the World, in this 5280 magazine article from October 2014. Top trail and mountain runners like Anton Krupicka, Scott Jurek, Sage Canaday, Joe Grant, Nick Clark, Buzz Burrell, Ashley Erba, & Josh Arthur, all enjoy the wildflower meadows, sapphire blue lakes, aspen and pine forests, and spectacular alpine views. It’s no wonder that Rocky Mountain National Park consistently places as one of the top 10 places to visit in the US.

Estes Park is also home to the most scenic marathon in Colorado, the Estes Park Marathon, as voted by readers of Colorado Runner magazine in 2012. Trail running camps, women’s running camps, and running vacations in the Estes Park area are arranged by local company Active at Altitude, who also conceived and organize the US Trail Running Conference.
